These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

An Interesting Blog

.

Do you dislike Ann Coulter as much as I do? If the answer is no, sign off now. You've been warned. If the answer is yes, you will enjoy (I guess that is the right word, although "enjoy" and "Ann Coulter" don't really fit together well) the last several posts at Margaret and Helen's blog. Helen is plain spoken, and minces little about something about which she has an opinion. And she has opinions! I think she feels at her age (82), she has a lot to say (you know, "so many things to say and so little time to say 'em") and is gonna get 'er said, by gum. You go, Helen!

Did anyone see the outrageous Ms. Coulter on The View recently? ARGH! The woman is weird! She is mean. She has no compassion for others. She is just vile. I realize we all think we are right about whatever we believe in, but most of us realize that there is a minute possibility that people with other opinions might be worth listening to and considering. NOT HER!!! Holy cow, she is scary in her rigidity!

Anyway, about the blog .... I read this blog regularly and get a real kick out of it. As I said, Helen speaks her mind, and when she chimes in, Margaret sounds like the calmer blog partner. She doesn't write often, and certainly is more reticent, but seems to generally share the opinions of Helen. I thoroughly enjoy Helen. She says things with gusto and with great conviction. She says things I wish I'd said! You should check out her opinions of the lovely Ms. Pa*lin back in the fall!

Helen says she honestly thinks "I have determined I can take her [Coulter's] skinny ass." Ya know.... I'll bet she could!

  1. I agree she is vile and hateful we dont need that kind of hate. What I cant understand is why the media (they are so on my list today) keeps giving her space to utter her spew or why people buy her books. I for one think the world would be a better place without her.

  2. I wasn't familiar with her until I happen to catch the View. Basically, I didn't think she had any things good to say--so will ignore her, that will be my plan.

  3. Bobbie, the media gives her space because she makes news. Ugly, hateful news, but ...

MJ, really? You hadn't heard about her during the campaign, if not before? Wow. She is the most scary hate-spewing conservative around! I'm impressed that you have remained so innocent. Stay that way. It's a lot easier.

  4. She is so very irritating. saw her on the today show and i though matt should have just slapped her silly at some point.

  5. "Irritating" is such a kind word, Beans!! Have you noticed that her segments on shows are usually very short? I don't know if that is planned, preventative, or if they end up cutting it short because she explodes.

  6. I'll have to go check it out!! :-)

  7. Anon, interesting. I agree with you about the media selling whatever they can put their grubby mitts on. However, I don't think my blog is going to blow her into the spotlight, but whatever! Perhaps you know something about who read this that I don't. Who are you? Come out, come out! Claim your conservative-ness!!

  8. Cheryl, DO! But then, don't talk about it! We don't want to promote it!! LOL!

  9. I think Ann Coulter is secretly a man. She IS scary but I could take her. No problemo!

  10. LOL!! Oh lawdy, Patti, that's a very interesting thought!! I must admit ... she acts like she has big, really big cohones!!! Apparently all her ability to think is locked up in there, too.

OK, I'll team you up with Helen, and it's a done deal!! You crack me up!

  11. So far as I'm concerned, we can flush Coulter along with Rush.

  12. Nick, GREAT IDEA!!! I wonder if those 2 get on each other's nerves?

  13. To me she is right up there with Fred Phelps who by the way was in Prairie Village yesterday. He protesting the fact that a high school had a gay/lesbian coaltion. What was great was that the kids from the school came out and ended up raising thousands for Aids Research.

I feel sorry for those that have more hate in their heart then love. Don't they realize that love feels so much better then hating.

  14. Caroline, I suspect people like Phelps have never experienced love. And Kudos to the students who stood out there!

  15. Yay...your internet is back up.

I think the teachers should get kudos for allowing the kids to miss class to show their support.

  16. Yes, absolutely! Those teachers rock!

Ahhhh. It is good to have the big "I" back!

  17. Ann Coulter is a dealbreaker for me in any political discussion. If someone uses her as a news source or quotes her in anyway, I realize they are not intelligent enough to bring their point to the table. I've read snippets of her books and know enough to see that this is her "shtick" and that she doesn't really believe her own words. She isn't even worth the anger. Instead my anger is directed at the media who allows her to spew her crap as if it really meant something. I get that it provides for good ratings, but I won't watch.

  18. Only one more thing to say on the matter: The saying "don't mud wrestle with a pig, you'll just get dirty and the pig likes it" applies perfectly to Ann. She seems to be one of those people who doesn't see the difference between negative and positive attention.

  19. Julie, frankly, if you think about what the media gives attention to, it is no surprise that AC is included. The more garbage, the better, generally speaking!

  20. I'm pretty conservative, but I'm not anonymous! lol I can't stand that woman. If she's not the rudest person I've ever seen, she's awfully close. Blech!!!

I'm going to have to check out the blog.

  21. I just visited Margaret and Helen's blog and immediately added it to my "favorites" list. Oh*My*God what a hoot. And so right on. I LOVED it!!!! I found out Cruella Deville has huge feet. I guess the reason she has such huge feet is to be able to support all the hatred that is within. Ya know, if Cruella could spend half the amount of time actually doing something productive as she does spewing hatred, she might actually be considered human.

  22. OK, Jen, if you promise not to call me as "you liberal", I won't refer to you as "that conservative"!! I agree, she is unbelievably rude.

Daisy, "a hoot" would be my choice of descriptions, too! I love their blog. No sugar-coating on their words, for sure!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Deal!! Besides, some of the conservatives I know think I'm liberal. lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. Jen, I understand. I consider myself "moderate" with significant liberal leanings. I say this because there are quite a few areas that I have conservative ideas. But my conservative friends usually see me as plain ol' liberal. I think it is because I have chosen for my whole life, then reinforced it in my career, to advocate to the idea that each of us has the right to make our own decisions, to be treated with respect, and to be equal in our constitutional rights. I will admit that this past campaign and election pushed me deeper into the liberal area, but I just don't buy any "program" completely.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
