These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Sometimes ....

.

Lolita does this! It is funny, because she barks at the others to get them to play, to get them to move, to get their attention. Sometimes she barks at me, seemingly to get my attention, but for a reason that escapes me most of the time. Sometimes I think she barks to hear her own voice. Sometimes she will be sitting quietly, and she suddenly open a barrage of this kind of random barking, seemingly for no reason, as if it has been welling up inside her and has just erupted through her mouth. Perhaps it is too quiet for Her Puppiness who just can't stand the silence. I really don't know.

Sometimes, she is such a puppy!! Where is that coming from?

  1. I noticed on FB that you were having trouble waking up this morning...just let Lolita know that and I am sure she will bark you awake.

  2. Lulu quietly barks after she is put to bed. We figured she is singing herself to sleep. Lolita sounds like she just loves to sing all the time.

  3. Cheryl, :) I thought so!

Caroline, she did her best! Sam had the chew bone a while ago, and she laid on the floor incessantly barking at him! She rolled on her back and barked, on her side for a while, stuck her butt up in the air and barked, but he ignored her! it was hilarious to watch!

Pepper, that is a cute story! I'm afraid most of the time Lolita's barking is not "quiet." She intends to be heard! But while I wouldn't call it "singing," I think she likes to hear herself. Reminds me of when I was young and my folks used to say that I talked to hear the sound of my own voice. Yep!

  4. Her and pepper have something in common. Pepper loves to bark also I have to wonder if the mailman is glad there is a door between him and her. I am always bragging how good bufford is I thought I would let you know we had garabge strewn through out the house and pepper was kennelled. I know it was the cats lol.
