These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

TV

.

I don't usually watch TV all day long. I have today because I'm exhausted, and I really can't get up the energy to do much. I haven't slept through the night for several nights, 5 nights, I think. Then yesterday I had the headache all day long which sapped energy, too. I'm just lacking of energy.

So I've been a true couch potato today. As I'm vegging out on the couch, feeling sorry for myself, I'm noticing the commercials more than the shows, and do you know what? There are an awful lot of commercials about bodily functions! Medications for diarrhea, constipation, bladder control, diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, menstrual, impotency, tooth care, dandruff, eye drops, ear cleaning .... those are the ones I can think of right now that I have seen today. Good gosh almighty!

I guess I need to turn it off, don't I? Yeah. But the controller is on the coffee table, and I'd have to move to reach it.

I wonder what's on TV tonight.

  4. I'm very sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. I'm glad the headache has let up, but it does sound like you are getting the flu. We just had it here, it started with a headache and then came the exhaustion. I hope I'm wrong.
In the meantime, pamper yourself, stay on that couch.
    Sending healing hugs your way.

  5. Bobbie, yes, there are those ads, too, but I see those more at night, I think.

(M)ary, yep, the dogs loved it, but by mid afternoon, Lolita was getting bored. The others were more able to kick back, but she still has that puppy energy out the wahzoo.

Beans, HAAA ha ha ha! No, I just need to be less lazy, I think! And yes, that commercial was on today.

Cheryl, I hope it isn't flu. I don't feel "flu-ish," and in fact I feel pretty decent today, except for the tiredness. Well, I'll find out, won't I? Thanks for the good thoughts. :)

  6. Commercials sure have changed in the last couple of years. Hey, at least you have cable. I am about tired of this no cable thing. I can't wait until I have Lifetime again. Oh and MTV.

  7. Caroline, the AC (Acceptable Quotient) of commercials has gone way down, IMO, over at least 20 years,m but you're right, the last few are worse. I really, really, really do not care to hear about feminine products, erectile dysfunction products, or discrete personal massagers with cute little storage bags! Those three have the top spots on my personal shudder list!

I know you miss cable, but think about it .... cable/being near S .... cable/being near S .... cable/being near S. Yeah, you'll be fine for another month or six weeks! ;D

  8. Now i'm just thinking about moseying into the livingroom and seeing what's on TV - as I don't have a book to read and I have the house (and TV) to myself.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
