These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. Bonus Movie!

First of all, I found this quote this morning, and I was wondering whether to save it for another day or how I could put it to work for me. While I was pondering this, an email came in from Daisy with a movie that tied in! Well, there you have it! Asked and answered! So first the quote:

"You can turn painful situations around through laughter. If you can find humor in anything - even poverty - you can survive it."

Bill Cosby, (1937-), American comedian, actor, author, television producer and activist

And now, for the video, go here. Laugh and learn!

  1. Oh I LOVED it! And he's SOOOO right, on every point. Boy, we have become spoiled, haven't we? I remember the days running errands with my mom. And she'd have one of those "Doggonit, I forgot to call whoever" moments. And I'd say, "wouldn't it be cool if we had phones in the car?" And without a thought, my mom would say, "yeah right...that'll never happen!" LOL

    Technology, gotta love it.

Oh, and look...you and I are "FRIENDS"...have been for a couple years now. And we met on a COMPUTER!!! (I mean, we've been fortunate to meet IRL...but you get my point!) LOL

  2. Yes, Dawn, I've thought about those things, but he said it so well! It is amazing how many "technological friends" I have. I was doing one of those meme kind of things on facebook the other day, and it was odd to realize how many of my friends I've never actually met in person.
