I remember when we moved to KC and the Mexican/Hispanic community was very small. Unless you went to the small area where they tended to lived, you could not get good Mexican food. And even then, it wasn't like "home." We used to lament that Taco Bell was the best Mexican foo in in town.Lyniluhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04742585512852240355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28840534.post-76572157932101279482008-10-14T22:58:00.000-06:002008-10-14T22:58:00.000-06:00My dad sent me one of these lists awhile back... i...My dad sent me one of these lists awhile back... it's AMAZING how different the culture is just across the state line up here. No Lotta Burgers. ARGH. Very few luminarias at Christmas. Biscochitos are just DIFFERENT. So is menudo, posole, and even green chile. People here think it's chili! Ugh. I miss home.Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00234102836517506471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28840534.post-70657812691771393042008-10-13T19:15:00.000-06:002008-10-13T19:15:00.000-06:00Jen, since you GET IT, I'll bet you do have lots t...Jen, since you GET IT, I'll bet you do have lots to say about the list! Lotta Burger reminds me of being the annoying tagalong on my sisters' dates.

3. The smell of desert rain is one of the BEST smells ever!

4. Armour car wax on the bottom of a plastic sled works the best at White Sands.

I have many more comments, but I'll just leave it at this. :o)Jensterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15639970448069931471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28840534.post-35043030471486068692008-10-13T14:24:00.000-06:002008-10-13T14:24:00.000-06:00Patti, it is a good place.
