These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

A Great Find

Today I spent sitting on the floor pulling more carpet tack strip and staples from the hardwood floors. Yeah, I thought I was finished, but I totally forgot that 2 bedrooms were not finished several weeks ago when my son-in-law arrived to do the exterior painting. I had simply quit to help him, and the floors just went out of my head. So anyway, I finished that up and won't have to do any morel Whew! It isn't hard at all, but at my age, sitting on the floor is a challenge. And then I have to get up!! An even bigger challenge. Right now my right wrist hurts like the dickens, and my back feels as if someone has worked me over with a big stick! I took some ibuprophen with dinner, and hopefully, I won't be too sore tomorrow. We'll see.

Oh, I went shopping today, too. I bought a new mirror for my bedroom. I debated about it because this simply means I will have to move it, something I don't want to do. But after looking at this mirror, I decided I simply *had* to have it. I really do think it was worth the money. See what you think:

I think it's a keeper!!

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!! Be safe.

  2. Oh yeah I heart that mirror!
The glass doors at work are like that, I always look so good walking into work and then I get into the bathroom and the true-to-life mirros... Oy!

  3. cameo - Thanks for the offer to help . . . of course, I notice that it came *after* I'm done!! ;-) About where, I don't know. Since you are relatively new to this city, it tosses out the possibility that you hung out with my kids. And in the line of work I was in, I'd remember you if I'd had you as a client. Perhaps we both just have those "familiar faces." Maybe we can have coffee . . . no, make that iced tea . . . or lunch one day before I move. Let's stay in touch!

patti - you might try closing your eyes when you go into the bathroom! hee hee! Sometimes I look in the mirror and say, "When did I get to this age/weight/wrinkled/etc." Reality sucks, doesn't it? I still feel young enough in my heart that I'm not willing to let myself shy away from having fun for the remainder of my life. So, if I need this mirror to make it possible, so be it!!!

  5. caroline - you'll have to wait a while. I bought the entire stock so I could line all my walls in the house. But check the website. It is http://yeahrightlikethatwillhappen.com. ;-)

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
