Then this morning, I took the dogs out for that morning constitutional, and holey-moley, the wind is blowing like crazy out there today! I guess the good thing is that I probably won't have to shovel or sweep the walk! I hate how wind makes it seem so much colder. Brrr.
Two days ago it was a balmy 52 or 53 degrees, and one time
when I took the babies out, China wandered and did her business, then as we started to come back in, she just plopped herself down on the walk, let the breeze ruffle her fur and soaked up the sunshine. Yep, she was right, we needed it, so I propped the door open for some fresh air in the house and sat on the step with her. As you see, Ali went inside and brought a toy out to play. I sent him right back in with it, because I'm not going to pick up toys around the yard like I did in KC! China looked over her shoulder as if to say, "Quit squeaking that %*&(%^^ thing!"
I can't blame them. This is what it looked like. It was a really bright and gentle day. I think we stayed there for over 20 minutes.
And since just a week earlier the other end of the walk looked like this, it was so nice to just sit in the sunshine. In fact, I think I heard China humming, "Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy"!! Honest!!Ahhhh. Life is good, snow, sunshine, whatever! Bring it on!
