These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

About Aging . . .

Uh-huh! What do you hate about aging?

For me, I think the lost of physical stamina. No, the changing hair patterns (if you don't know, don't ask!!!) Wait, it's the age spots. Or maybe the wrinkles, especially on my hands. Oh, wait, it's getting up to go to the bathroom at night. Alright, clearly I'm going to have to think this over.

So tell us what you don't like about aging. Oh, wait!! Some of you aren't old enough to get it! But give it a try!! :)(:

  1. I was going to tell you what I don't like about aging, but I forgot what I was going to say. :)

Yea, my memory is not like it used to be and I really hate that!!!!

  2. I'm going to get kicked out of the blog society for saying this, but as of yet, there's not really anything about aging that bothers me all that much. At this point all my friends are freaking out about turning 30 while I just consider it some odd type of accomplishment. I think I'm just glad that I haven't been hit by a bus!

  3. the sag...where I don't want things to sag...that time passes so much more quickly than it used to...those crappy little hairs that sprout on my chin...my eyelids are starting to droop a bit...all little things...but there are lots of good things too...as you say Lynilu.."life is beautiful"...but aging...eh, it can be the pits!!!!! ;)

  4. Caroline - LOL! I hear that!! Another of the pitfalls, fer sher!

Burg - Actually, I agree with you, but singly, one by one, the little things zing me. I forget my age until one of them says, "Oh, Lyyyyyynnnn!"

And, no, we won't kick you out of blog society! We'll just sit and watch you age with us!! LOL!!!

Sherry - I know, I know! The little things! They sneak up and add up, don't they? But ... BUT ... so much better than the alternative, as you know. Yes, life is beautiful. Slightly used looking now days, but still beautiful!

  5. The middle age spread and the annoying little chin hairs. GEEZ!!! I feel like Billy Goat Gruff. And dammit where does the time go??? But, life IS beautiful. :-)

  6. I'm still so excited to be free that I don't care if I get old. That might seem cheesy.

I am curious about why the occasional (so far) gray hairs stick straight up on my head. What's that about?

  7. Daisy - Oh, yeah, those are irritating! And aren't we glad we can be alive to experience them??? :)(:

Jenn- I hear that! The aging is a nuisance, but having freedom to be ME is amazing!

And the grey-hair-sticking-straight-up thing ... it is especially a problem for you and me because of our curly hair. You see, the grey hair is courser, thus it does not curl, or at least it doesn't curl as much as the regular hair. Look at it this way ... when you get enough of them, it will look like you have a halo!!!! See, there's always a positive side, or dare I say, "SILVER LINING" to everything!!! LOL!!

  10. I don't like being stiff and walking like my great grandma every time I get up from the chair.

  11. Jenster - Me, too! Gail & I were talking the other day about it. Since we are both single, we can't imagine how totally un-sexy it would look to do that around a man we are trying to impress. Ouch! LOL!!

  12. Chin hairs. Those things are just wrong and they pop up overnight.

  13. Sandra - If I could change any one thing about aging I wouldn't have to think twice! You hit it on the head!!! "Just wrong" absolutely!!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
