These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

I'll Return Soon

Hi, all. I just want to take time for another short note. I'm doing OK, I really am. I miss China a lot, but I know she is in a good place and won't have pain. Most of you know it is a mixed bag of emotions in this circumstance.

I sincerely and deeply appreciate all of your comments. I have been reading them, and you are all wonderful and kind to leave comments, some of you several times. I haven't meant to ignore you. I think that within a couple days I'll be back in full force.

I have stayed busy, and I've had a lot of quality time with The Pack. They seem to be doing well, too. Ali, my biggest concern, has been very mellow, but doesn't seem to be deeply grieving, for which I am relieved. I have company for the weekend, and that has helped a lot. I've actually not been alone but a few hours since Friday morning. Linda drove China and me to the vet's office, then stayed with me for a couple hours after we came home. I spent the afternoon doing some cleaning that I ignored all week as I spent time with China. Gail came over after she got off work, we had dinner and watched a movie. After she left, my company arrived, my long-time friend Joe from Tulsa. Everyone has done a good job of keeping me busy, yet no one has avoided talking about China, a good balance.

Later on I will give you more detail about how we are spending the weekend, and I will also talk a bit about China. For now I'm going to just kick back, enjoy the remainder of the time with my company.

Again, I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. Your kind words have warmed my heart more than you can imagine. You guys are the best blog-buds in the world!

  2. MQ, thank you so very much.

Donna, I don't know what I would do without the other babies. And I understand about words, but what you said is perfect. Thanks.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
