These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

A Thought for Thursday

I'm curious.

If you're single, what is the ONE thing you miss most about being "a couple"?

If you're married or in a long term relationship what is the ONE thing that is best about it and keeps you in it?

Note to Caroline: The operative word if "ONE." LOL!! Being newly in love makes people verbose!

  1. HaHaHa...you are so funny Lynilu. Since I am in a new relationship I am going to answer both questions.

    1) I think what I missed the most was that one person I called when I had either good news or bad news. Not having any contact with my family I really missed having someone that I could call when things were either really good or really bad. Oh, and I missed the sex. :)

    2) Those late night talks where you connect on such a deeper level.

  2. Having someone who shares the same goals and dreams for your life together and who has a shared history to reflect back on and say "Remember when..."

I guess being loved and having someone to love goes without saying, right? :)

  3. Just the comfort of being able to be me with all the cracks and flaws and knowing he's always there for me anyway.

  4. Hmmmmmm good question. I have been married for almost 15 years and I love him like we just met and still finding out neat things out about him. Its not that we depend on each other but more like we complete each other he has his interests and I have mine. We also have combined interests. Gosh I sound all gushy

  5. When Man comes home, he always has a smile on his face, a hug, a kiss and an I love you. It really is nice to love Man and have him love me right back.

  7. LMAO at the comment to Caroline!!!

Well... I am very thankful and blessed to have a husband who does alot for me and Maddie. I love that he takes care of us!

Sometimes though I yearn for a little independence and freedom to travel more but that's it....

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
