These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Very short post

You don't think I can actually do a short one, do you? HAH!!

I'm off to a kennel that raises and begins the training of service dogs. These dogs are the kind that detect seizures in their human partners. It's the first step of volunteering there. I will have one of the really fun jobs .... playing with and perhaps grooming the young dogs and puppies! I may also volunteer to go along when they take the dogs to an area school to mingle with children, and an extra pair of eyes to be sure no one is being inappropriate with the little furbies, like pulling hair, etc.

Then I'm off to begin a new job. Yes! OK, don't get too excited. It's not a high powered position, but I'll enjoy it. I'll be helping Linda with some of the business-end details of her new studio/gallery. I'm learning to maintain the website, adding new pictures as some sell and leave blanks on the website, a little organization, that sort of thing so she is free to be the artist. I'm also going to eventually show my photography in the studio. Today I'm taking photos of her pieces for the website.

I'll likely be gone most of the day. So .... LATER!!!!! OH, and don't forget to check out the Trivia below! Yep, it's Tuesday already!

  2. Perfect volunteer job, though you know YOUR babies are going to smell the other pups on you, right? My dogs always go crazy when I'm around other dogs, lol.

And the perfect job for you at the gallery, really happy for you!

  3. I am so jealous of your new job with the puppies. How fun. I have always said that when (noticed I didn't say "if") I win the lottery I am going to buy a piece of land and have a no kill shelter. I would love to spend my whole day working with dogs and cats.

Your life just keeps getting better.

Kathi, I've been home about 45 minutes, and they have finally quit sniffing!!

If my life is centered around dogs and art .... yes, I'll be happy!

Caroline, I think it will be a lot of fun. Be sure to buy land close enough to me that I can help you!!! BTW, they are looking for someone for a live-in position at the kennels1 Jus' sayin'! :D
