These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

I Don't Believe It!

I knew we were in for potential storms and even some possible snow showers, but I didn't expect this!

Did you hear Little Missy in the background? She's in the house, terrorizing the "big kids"!! She is one sassy little red head!

I know a lot of you are sick to death of snow, but I've had a fairly dry winter, so this is great! Bring on the moisture! Look at the size of the flakes in this next clip. Amazingly big, and FAT! They are like little tiny snowballs rather than snow flakes!

The temperature has dropped over 3° in the last 10 minutes. It's now 39° and it is beginning to stick. I'm 'sposed to go to dinner this evening. Wonder if I'll make it?

I just looked when this video finished uploading and it has fallen another 3°! Yike!

  1. We've had quite a bit of snow this year. Not a lot of measurable events, but a ton of events. I hope we're not quite done, though I thoroughly enjoyed our fifty-something degrees today!!

  3. That is something I don't miss being in. It is beautiful though and I thoroughly enjoy looking at the snowy mountain tops. I will stay in the valley. Hope you made it and made it safe.

  4. Jen, I like snow. I like nice mild 50s. I guess I'm pretty lucky! I like just about everything but the combo of heat and humidity!

MJ, you do?? But .... golf???

Pepper, I don't miss the Missouri brand of snow!! I love it here, though, with the short life span! I did make it there and back with no problem. Very little snow stuck here and about a mile or mile & a half away, it hadn't snowed enough for the ground to appear damp!

  5. Yay for snow. We also have had a very dry winter. We have had a couple days where it's really warm and windy and there have been grass fires.

I think I am still shocked that MJ wants snow.

  6. Caroline, yeah, I'm worried that they might have to close the forest again. :(

OK, here's my theory .... MJ got some of those brightly colored golf balls and she wants to go hit a few in the snow!

  7. We had a beautiful weekend and rain this AM but the temperature is great, 60 degrees. (and I am stuck inside at work.)
We haven't had a lot of snow this winter, it would be nice to see some.
My theory on MJ - she wants lots of snow so she can have time off work. She wants to stay home & drink hot chocolate in front of the fire.

  8. Kim, so, my theory about MJ doesn't hold up, eh? Shoot. I thought I had it all figured out.

    LOL!

  9. Maybe it's a little of both.
I'm sure she wouldn't argue with either one of our theories. Golf first and then go home and hang out by the fire. :)

  11. How weird that we had snow last week and it is almost 80 here today. Weather sure is strange.. and unpredictable!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
