Today is
It is also the anniversary of my parents' marriage in 1931. Seventy-eight years. They lived till they celebrated 69 years together, then both were gone within 2 months. I miss them a lot.
These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................
It is awesome that they had 69 years together. And a rarity these days. My parents are coming up on their 47th in May and I am working on 27.5 years. And then there's MJ and Cowboy.....12 days and counting. :)
ReplyDeleteKim, let's go easy on MJ; I son't want her to feel pressured! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWow that is a long time. They were very very lucky. I'm sorry you miss them. I expect you always will.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Patti, missing them never stops, I'm afraid. It is a lot easier now, and I'm sure time will continue to soften it, but I don't see it ending.
