These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Fruits of My Labor .... or is it Flowers of my Toil?

.
Now to begin resting and enjoying the results. This is just a smidgen of what was planted over the last couple weeks.

A couple of my lilies are blooming.

And look what I found .... one of the just-planted Red Hot Pokers is going to bloom!! I do another picture later on when it is fully blooming.

A couple Columbines near a little Yucca.

It all looks pretty bleak right now, but hopefully they'll grow and spread. If not this year, by next year, I think. It will be nice. There are several Lillies, a couple clumps of Daisies, and a Columbine.

A bonus was finding the Prickly Pear that I thought was going to die last year is blooming now!

How 'bout some pretty cloud pictures? I caught these on the way into town a while ago.

The clouds are full of rain. I didn't take pictures of the heavy cloud that have been hanging over my house most of the day. All I've had so far is a couple brief sprinkles, but I'm hoping that they will drop some more this evening and overnight. Hoping, hoping, hoping.

  3. Well, it looks like I'm going to have to water. I got rain, but just sprinkles several times through the day, and never enough to make the surface wet. It's OK, I'd hoped for a break, but watering isn't the hardest job!

  4. You have some beautiful little gems sitting there. I can't wait to see what it looks like next year! Love the stones too. The cloud pictures are beautiful. I hope you don't get too much rain! Enjoy the day.

  5. You did good! And I love the sky pictures, think I may use one as my desktop photo. Even if you just get a sprinkle or two, I'm JEALOUS! So hot here, and not a drop in the forecast.

  6. Cheryl, I can't wait for the future results, either. As for the rain .... in this area we rarely get too much, so bring it on!

Kathi, I hope y'all get some rain, too. Isn't it awful when these long dry spells come? You have my permission to use one of the photos for your desktop. :)

  7. Your flowers are looking good!! Can't wait to see them blossom in the next couple of years.

Hope you get the rain. We are having rain today and it's kind of nice. Gives me a good reason to just stay inside.

  8. Caroline, I'm eager for them to be showy, and it is hard to be patient. It will be worth it .... eventually!

Yeah, I hope we get rain, too. I think I'm going to go water in a couple hours. The forecast says 30% chance overnight, but it has said 30% for several days now, and I'm not believing anymore! If I water and then it rains, so be it!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
