These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

h.o.t.

I don't know why it has to be this hot while TL and the kids are here. Of course, I didn't want rain everyday, but still .... did it have to go immediately to being this hot? Yesterday was miserably hot, and we were glad for the moments of air conditioning respite from the heat. A few of the museums had a/c, and boy, did it feel good. You see, many businesses here don't have a/c, because this is generally mild climate. When I was last at these places, they did not have it, so I was fully aware of my good fortune.

For most of you, this wouldn't seem, on paper (or computer screen), to be hot. 90-92°, admittedly isn't awful, but remember this is very high 6000 to 7500 feet, so the atmosphere is very different. Even Terri and the kids, used to the heat and oppressive humidity of Florida, are suffering. Part of their problem is being unaccustomed to the altitude. But trust me when I say that the heat is very intense. We got home, totally washed out, and spent last night trying to revive ourselves.

I'll be back later to let you know more about our adventures, but not just now. I'm still trying to recover! They will be leaving tomorrow afternoon to go to Albuquerque to spend a few days with TL's dad, and I'll catch up after they have gone.

Hasta maƱana!

  6. I can totally relate to how TL and the kids are feeling. I remember when I came to visit I was sooooo tired and it was mainly due to the altitude. Enjoy your last few hours with them...I know you are really going to miss them. Can't wait to see pics.

  7. Evreyone - TL and kids left this afternoon, as planned. It has been quite a week, full of good times and exhausting events! I'll begin to get caught up soon, with both reading your blogs and posting about our adventures here. Thanks for stopping by.
