These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Bedtime for Lynilu

.
Bedtime at my house is a true experience.

This is what my bed looks like ....

Max, Sam, Jazi, Joey are visable

You see four dogs, or at least part of them, a well-chewed plush toy, and a lump in the middle of it all. The empty space on this part of the bed is what I get. Yep, that's all I get. And the lump? If you look very closely, and you may have to click to enlarge, you can see some tippy-toes sticking out from under the sheet. Uh-huh, that is Lola. Every night she has to wriggle down under the sheet before she goes to sleep.

See? There are the toesies.

No, I don't know why the tootsies usually stick out of the sheet. That's just how she does it.

And then eventually, she crawls out from under.

After a while, I can usually shift them around enough to stretch my legs out and get comfortable myself. It works. Not only does it work, but I wouldn't trade it at any price.

  3. How funny!! At least they are small and you don't have 5 Sophie's that try to share your bed with you. :)

Lola is just like me when it comes to sleeping with her feet outside the covers. My feet have to be cool when I sleep or I am miserable. Even in the dead of winter I will have no socks on and they will be outside the covers.

  5. Bobbie, I've decided that I can never have a man in my life; there is obviously no room for one!!

Caroline, no kidding! 5 Sophies??? As for the comparison of Lola and you being so much alike .... that explains a lot!! ;D

(M)ary, yep, I'm an s-sleeper, too. It's a darn good thing, 'cause otherwise, there would be no room!

  8. Sadie used to sleep with me everynight. She would start out in her bed and secretly sneak in bed with me and sleep smack dab in the very center of the bed--I miss it.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
