These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

My peaceful home

The dogs were outside barking. I went to bring them in and restore quiet. Lola was least interested in coming in, and I finally saw what she was trying to see. I turned on the back yard light, and here is what I saw.

She in only about 15 feet from the door, five or so from the fence. She has been there for at least an hour now. I'm guessing she is staying for the night. My home must feel safe to her also.

I'm glad she is so comfortable, but it also means that the dogs will bark every time they go out. Sigh. Oh, well, we'll work it out. I'm determined to share my space with those who belonged here, to this ground, before me.

Peace.

  3. It obvious your babies don't realize how badly this little Deer could hurt them if it really wanted to. :)

I love that you have so many natural things right in your back yard. Very cool.

  5. She obviously knows a good thing when she sees it! lol

We were driving home from church last week and had to stop as five large and healthy deer sprang across the road infront of us. I just love living in the midst of nature!

  6. I think she does, Jenster. We have to watch always when we drive anywhere, any season. They are all over the place. Some people complain about the necessity to slow down.... I say slow down and enjoy the beauty!!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
