These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Relaxation

There is an apparent theme running through Bloggerville today. I went to my healing touch treatment this morning, and it was wonderful. W.o.n.d.e.r.f.u.l. Afterward, I came home and all I wanted to do was take a nap! I was so relaxed, so peaceful, without pain. Soooo, I laid down, but I never fell asleep. I simply stretched out and let the peace continue.

When I turned on the computer to read blogs, the first five titles that I read were right in my channel. Two had the word "nap" in them, one "solitude," one "lazy," and one "quiet." That was perfect for today, "take a couple naps, enjoy the solitude and quiet, and just be lazy."

Works for me.

I'm going back on Tuesday for another one.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

  5. Ruth, I will be. I'm so glad I will be able to see her twice before surgery. I think it is going to be much easier now!

Linda, I really am. It feels so good after a few days of growing pain. You know, it gets hard to separate the pain from the anxiety about the pain! this work takes care of it, either way.

Diana, obviously I would highly recommend it! I can't tell you how much benefit I've had from massage through the years. So nice!

Thanks, Cheryl. And I enjoyed it at home, as well. The benefit is long lasting.

  6. I sure wish that I had been one of those talking about relaxing. We had a busy weekend and I'm quite tired now. On that note...I think I'll go take a bath!

  7. ah a nap would have been good today but the car had to be fixed before it became a small firebomb.

  8. Cheryl, a long hot bath is right up there just slightly behind a massage in my book!

Bobbie, priorities to have to be considered, don't they? I'm really glad you got the car fixed and can drive safely now.

  9. Oh yes! You sound so relaxed. I was at a weekend scrapbook event and on Saturday we had 10 minute chair massages. Coincidentally (or not) my doctor told me on Friday I should be doing massage therapy for my fibromyalgia and arthritis. Voila! I found a wonderful therapist and will make an appointment this week for my massage. If I had any doubt about it, you have just erased it. Thanks.

  10. Hippo Chick, I have to say that massage is the BEST treatment I found for it. Second best? Water therapy, i.e., water walking, supplemented with gentle lap swimming (non-weight bearing or limited weight bearing is important). Many YMCAs have swimming pools with certain hours reserved for adults. Also, try hospitals in your area. Many of them have fitness centers and swimming pools and even offer trainers to be sure you're doing it the right way. A combo of massage and water therapy totally rocks! Good luck!!
