These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................
You must share how you made this!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't measure anything! I'll give you approximates, OK?
ReplyDelete6-8 cups of CLEAN snow
about 1 cup cream (or 1/2 & 1/2, or evaporated milk)
about 1/2-3/4 cup sugar
about 1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix the milk, sugar and vanilla to dissolve the sugar. NOW GO GET THE SNOW!! Mix the liquid in the snow till smooth. I do it by hand with a wide rubber spatula or a very large wooden spoon, but you can use an electric mixer. I think the electric mixer makes it melt quicker and it has a creamier texture. Hand mixing leaves it fluffier.
BTW, you can use sweetened condensed milk (Eagle's Brand milk) in place of the cream and sugar.
The snow pictures are wonderful. I use to make snow ice cream as a child, same recipe as yours. Kids love to do this, lol
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! You got a lot of snow!!! Pretty pictures!
ReplyDeleteThe lady that used to babysit me would make snow icecream. It was SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!!
