These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. Apparently I think small ....

I'm off to the hardware store. I got started on the new gates for the deck, and about the time I was completing the final step of the first one I realized I had bought just half what I needed of one piece of hardware. Then I discovered that the deck screws I am using on them are too long for certain parts. So I need to make a run, and then I think I can probably finish today.

Soooooooooo .... I'll be back later with news and hopefully pictures!

    I'm taking a lunch break. I'm finished with one, and I'll be done with the second quickly. Then comes the big job .... hanging them!We'll see by this evening just how well I rock!

    Betty, I HAD to try. I couldn't find ready-made gates anywhere and custom gates for that size entry would have cost me at least $2000!!! These cost me under $200!

    Pam, I did! I don't know about amazing, but when I have to "get 'er done," I find I usually can. But thanks!
