These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

The final gate

I forgot to post the pictures! Here they are.

Now try to imagine everything in green or natural wood painted a nice adobe color. Ahhh.

  2. Thanks, Daisy. Painting .... you only see a small part. The deck itself is 80x14 and has those little posts to paint all the way around. I d.r.e.a.d. it!!

  5. You need a spray painter. You can rent one and it will save you a great deal of time and work. Great job Lyn!

  6. Oh my gosh I can't seem to catch up with everyone! You have been so busy and it shows in your work Lyn. You did a great job, the blue doesn't look bad at all but a natural color would look nice as well. You should be very proud of yourself! Love Di ♥

  7. Ladies, I can't tell you how glad I am that job is over! I'm glad I did it, as it is another "learning experience" and I realize I can do more that I once thought. But I'm glad it is done!

Di, the "blue" isn't true in the photos. The color is an unexciting dark green, kinda forest green. And the fool that owned it before painted the outside with an INDOOR LATEX. ???????? it is peeling horribly everywhere! I have a few 2x4s to replace, the deck floor has to be sanded, and then I'll paint.

Ruth, I'm considering a painting party. It will be a huge job!

Moni, I will probably rent a sprayer. My dad used to be a house painter, and I know how much time it saves!

    Caroline and Pam, thanks!

  8. Maybe you can get a student to paint it on the cheap this summer.

Your yard has such a southwest look to it. Adobe would make it nice.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
