These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Visitors approacheth!!

The company is coming! The company is coming!! Connie sent me a text just a bit ago that they were leaving Albuquerque. That means they will be here at about 12:30. Hurray!!

I have some fun things planned for the next few days, mostly focused on ancient cultures of this region. A local museum has an exhibit on "Ancient New Mexico," featuring peoples from pre-historical periods up to the Spanish Exploration. This would include Mimbres people and probably Mogollon. We'll check that out, then take a short trip to Three Rivers, a place where petroglyphs can be seen. One afternoon, my friend Jeannie is going to come over with some small slabs of slate and we are going to paint petroglyphs on the rocks. Jeannie does this (here, too), and is going to give us a lesson.

I am really looking forward to their visit. It has been too long. When talking about our adult children and their families who don't live nearby, it is always too long.

So I don't know how often I'll be on here. I'm gonna be otherwise occupied for a few days. I'm sure you understand. If ya don't then pooh on you! I'll be back when I can, with pictures. Maybe I'll have some photos more current than these taken a year ago in Albuquerque.
