These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Oh, I forgot!

When I got up this morning, a little before 6:00, the sun was not quite peeking out, but I noticed the very heavy layer of fog in the valley. (Don't forget to click them to see them at a larger size and see the detail.)

It looked almost solid!

When the sun eased up a little, it turned the clouds the most gorgeous colors.

I had to stop a minute to click the hummingbirds that were absolutely swarming! In fact, several sunrise pix have blurs in them, hummers that darted through the line of vision!

If you look at all the blurs, there are at least eight birds around that feeder.

And back to the sunrise, which was becoming amazing!

And then an hour later, not long before I was to leave the house, I looked out and saw that the fog was lifting, and obviously it was crawling up the mountains! Or was it that another cloud had slid down this mountain. Obviously I can't see if the other is still there! But a cloud was here, regardless of where it came from!

I left about 30 minutes later, and this was not quite so thick. Quite a heavy bunch of floating water!

  1. The pictures of the fog were eerily beautiful Lyn. The first few photos almost looked like snow!
I am so amazed by all of those hummingbirds. As a matter of fact Lyn after I read about the hummingbird on your finger, I dreamed that same night that there was a hummingbird on my finger!
    Wishful dreaming I think!

  4. I just LOVE it when God paints! And those hummers... fantastic photo!! Also, I meant to give you a HUGE THUMBS UP on being able to give the thrift shop clothes that were just too big for you now. I'm at the heaviest weight I've ever been in my life right now ~ hopefully, down the road I'll be able to give my fat clothes away ... but sadly, right now I'm still in need of them.

Thanks re: the clothes. It felt good to take all those things in!
