These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

OK, spent another day in Alamogordo with the truck. The found another issue in the emissions system. It something about an O-ring that has to be replaced. And it has to be ordered, so I'll go back down next week and get it installed. Let's hope this is the last trip for the same problem! The girl at the desk in the service department said if it doesn't work, they will just load it up on a truck and let me pick a new one off the lot!! LOL! I said I was holding her to that, and the guy who works there with her covered his ears and started  going, "La la la la la la la."

While I was there, I got a few errands done, too. I brought home some tiles to try with the hand made ones for the table. I haven't really looked at it yet, too tired. I found a bra that might work. and I stopped at Hastings and got some small puzzle books to take with me on the flight to Hawaii. I also picked up a couple CDs, a Nat "King" Cole collection and another Michael Bublé. I'm getting ready to listen to them in a few minutes.

I'm tired, and I'm going to just kick back and rest this evening. I work at the thrift shop tomorrow, and then I have nothing on the agenda for several days. Whew.

Mañana, y'all!

  1. I hope all goes well with the truck Lyn. It would be nice to get it all figured out before winter.

  2. I really hope this solves the issue with the truck. I can imagine how frustrating it is for you.

I love Hastings too. I could spend half a day in there and probably my entire paycheck.

  3. Di, it will, I'm sure. And yes, I'd like it done before winter, except that it is usually 10-15 degrees warmer down there, and I could stand it better in the cooler weather! Thanks, re: the music. :)

Caroline, you and me both! I really hate having an on-going problems like this.

    And Hastings .... easily!!!

  4. Motor vehicles, be it cars or trucks, we can't live with them and we can't live without them.

Hope all ends well for you.

I'm back in blogland and hope to keep up with my blog buddies.

  6. I'm having auto issues right now too. My son (the wanna be mechanic) has my tires off ~ he's changing the brake pads (for four days now) and now yesterday said something about the callibers?? I'll be happy when it's all put back together! I don't drive much; but sure do miss it when I don't have it readily available. I had to chuckle when you mentioned "I found a bra that might work" ~ well if it doesn't ... don't pay her!lol

  7. Lisa, yes, you're right. I especially dislike this kind of "devilment" because, as a single woman who lives in the country, having a reliable vehicle is like .... knowing the blood will flow in my veins! Vital!! But in spite of the struggles in finding the problem, I really like the dealership. They have been good to me, understanding and professional. The one I went to in Denver sorta blew me off. And CHARGED ME! Yeah, let's hope we both have happy solutions soon!

Mel, "calipers" are parts of brake systems, as I've heard my father, husband and son all talk about at one time or another. I hope your son gets you back on track, er, on tires and roads (!) soon! I know what you mean about being able to go when you need.

And the bra .... She does have to work these days! When we are young she is just a "pretty window dressing," who doesn't have to work hard, but as we age, the ol' gal has to get busy and work hard!! LOL!
