These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

One more before I go

I really don't have time for this, but I'll just tack on a few minutes on the other end of this process. Won't be the first time my priorities have been, uhmm, tumbled.

I noticed the sky a little earlier. First, the moon....

It doesn't show up as well as I wish, but there was an orange tint to it, and the sky was very hazy/smokey appearing.

This one, I unfortunately moved, so it is blurry, but the orange color shows more in it.

See the hazy look of the sky?

Then to the Northwest, where I so often get some of the pretty sunset colors .....

Some of what you see here is actually a little bit of cloudiness, but the bulk of it is smoke/ash/haze.

Really, Arizona, you could have just kept it to yourselves!

And now I have to go back to my preparation. I'm packed and the house is in (sorta) order. I'm trying really hard to get to bed at a reasonable time. I don't want to start this fun trip with tired-bags under my eyes!

I won't be back here in Bloggerville till I'm back in NM, so y'all take care and I'll catch up with you soon!!

Hasta la vista, baby!!

  3. Recuerdos a todos.

I still remember the first lesson in my first year Spanish. We had to memorize a bunch of Spanish phrases. Hasta la vista was followed by recuerdos a todos in that lesson. Then 'adios.'

Bring back some good mariachi band music.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
