These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Awww. Look who's home!

And you can see, her "butt" is all better!

When I got home yesterday, it was threatening rain, and I barely got in the house before a shower began, so I didn't take a photo till this morning. As you see, the nice wash job they did at the shop is already spotted. Oh well, the important thing is .... Blue Beauty is home! Hurray, hurrah and huzzah!!

The rental car, a Chevy Malibu was nice and had lots of bells and whistles, but the seat was terribly uncomfortable for me. I adjusted it forward and back up and down, put the seat back at different angles, and adjusted the lumbar support, but I never found the right combo. My low back hurt all week long. At physical therapy on Friday, we discussed it, and my therapist said that if my back was still hurting on Monday, he would begin working on it. Fortunately, after just one trip home from the shop, my back is fine!

This evening I looked out my front window and saw some pretty clouds. It was just getting dark, and there was just enough light left to get these snaps:

And lastly, my little Sammy loves to rest his chin on things. He's not particular what it is, but he wants something there. He loves to wait till one of the others is stretched out, and he snuggles up and rests his chin on their ribs. Or on the deck, he finds a place that he can rest his chin on the cross railing and does so while he watches the world go by.

This morning, he was resting ....

All together now .... AWWWWWWWWWWW.

I know, I know!

  1. My Ruby likes to lay between my legs on the recliner while resting her head on my ankle. It's all well and good until my foot starts to cramp! Sammy looks so cute!!
And your truck looks really good Lyn. Glad you had some rain. We've been getting some here and there but it's too late for the crops now. Still I think everyone around here thought the rain felt great! Love your cloud photos and glad your back is feeling better. It's funny how it only takes one little thing to make a big difference! Love Di ♥

    1. Mine do that in bed. It's not unusual for me to have as many as three chins resting on my right leg! They just line up and snuggle to my leg while I read. Too funny!

Any rain is welcome, I know. We are still having monsoons, of a sort. We are getting little rains every 2-3 days. They aren't as big as usual, but since much of the ground in the forest is bare and prone to serious runoff, the rains as they are now are perfect. I just hope they continue for a while.

  5. Hi Lynilu! So glad you are back! I tried to find out how to continue reading your blog but I guess I missed the window. Sorry to hear about your accident and injuries but I'm glad things are getting back to normal for you. I missed hearing about your adventures and your "kids"! Thanks for coming back!
