These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Rural living rocks!

I saw something wonderful Friday!

There is a road sign not far from this location that cautions about "Wild Horses." I've lived here six years, and had never seen the horses. Now I have!!

I was on my way to work when I saw them off to the side of the road. I'd already passed this spot, but just barely. That silver car was about 1/4 mile behind me.  So, since traffic stopped for them, I flipped a u-turn so I could take pictures. Wish I'd had my camera with the much better zoom, but I had to make do with the phone. Still .....

I was so excited! Watching them cross the road was so much fun! There was a little foal, a spindly-legged thing, so cute! I couldn't get a good picture of it, unfortunately.

Some days just start out better than others, don't they?

  2. What a wonderful experience!! I'm not a big fan of horses in general, but really do appreciate their beauty; especially in the wild. We have a wild burro crossing at the north end of town, but I have never seen them crossing. I know they do, because they let their evidence!!!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
