These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

I'm Back . . . and You Didn't Know I Was Gone, Did You??

Monday evening, I hatched some problems with my DSL connection. I was able to get on line occasionally, but by Tuesday, it was a lost cause. It was fixed today, and it was such a simple little thing that I'm embarrassed. Oh, well, in the scope of things, it isn't something to lose sleep about. Since I've been off line, you might want to check back on comments of previous posts since I responded to them just a bit ago.

I've had a couple days dealing with some issues that are troublesome. First, I thought that my financial issues (remember the bank thing?) were getting even more complicated. I thought my identity was compromised, but I found that it wasn't. Whew! To explain would take too long, but suffice it to say that I had a sleepless night Monday and it turned into giggles on Tuesday.

Then yesterday, Ali (my precious male Shih Tzu) kept asking to go outdoors over and over. He has acted droopy for several weeks, but I couldn't find anything wrong and jsut assumed it was his age. I Thought he might need some special TLC, and while he was on my lap, cuddling wonderfully, I noticed a drop of blood on my jeans. He was bleeding from him penis. I was out the door to the vet's office in a snap. He has a tumor in the prostate and it will be removed on Tuesday. The vet doesn't think we need to worry a lot since this is usually contained, even if it is cancerous. I hope so. I don't think I could stand losing one of my sweet puppies right now. Once again I'm requesting puppy prayers, this time for Margarita's papa.

And finally, as everyone knows, the hurricane has bypassed Florida and Baby Girl and the family are all well. Those of you who are in the path have my prayers for your safety, as well. It looks like a lot of flooding is in store for a lot of people. Good luck.

PS added at 10:00 PM - I meant to put this in the post earlier, but I forgot all about it in my excitement over being back on line! It was in the newspaper, and it just has ME written all over it!!

  1. Just when we have things figured out, our lowly computers humble us.
I hope the surgery goes well and he's his puppy self soon. We've had enough rain this summer, you might even get to see fall colors.

  3. We are sending LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of prayers for Ali!!!!!!!!!! We hope he is ok. I don't think I could handle you losing one of your puppy friends either. They are the sweetest dogs. I love them like they were mine. Please add Brady to the prayer list. He continued to throw up tonight, so we are anxious to find out what is going on.

  4. caroline - Mr. Brady has already been in my prayers, but we'll make it a broad request to all who read here. Caroline's cat is very sick, and he needs prayers, too. He is seeing the vet tomorrow, and I'll ask his mom to keep up all updated. Well, unless I've become the official "Pet Prayer Lady." Should that be "Pet Prayer Person"???? Geez, it is rough when out pets age.

  5. Glad to hear that the family is doing well... it's a terrible feeling worrying about loved ones in possible danger at the hands of nature.

  8. catherine - It is very hard to be so far away and worry. Of course, if I lived across town, I'd be in the same fix, but it feels so distant.

ragged - Thanks for the kind thoughts.

patti - The prayers are appreciated. I'm not sure what being a computer dolt is or has to do with this. Maybe I'm the language dolt!! LOL

  9. I think Patticake meant to say "idiot" in terms of the computer problems you've been having. Just my guess.
