Well, yes, yesterday was fun, but today was more gooder!
I set out this morning to drive to a larger town about an hour away on an information/fact finding mission. I've done a lot of internet research on this, but I needed to talk with a person, especially one I trust. I made an appointment to meet with my cousin's husband as he works at one of the places I needed to check that information. On the way to see him I stopped at another, similar business and was unimpressed with their enthusiasm for my mission. They were nice, but seemed uninspired. And uninspiring. Despite a long relationship history between me and them.
And the cousin did a good job at answering my questions and giving me information I needed as well as information that I didn't know I needed. And before I left his business, I had everything I needed including . . .
what my cousin calls a dude magnet,
. . . . . . . but in a "chick color."
I now own a new vehicle,
. . . . . . . my very own Dodge Ram HEMI ! ! !
Isn't that an awesome color?! I just love it! I hadn't planned to buy today, but after driving several vehicles of different makes, this one just fit me and my projected needs better than any other, so I decided to not lolly gag about it. Driving it home was great fun! Nothing beats a new car, does it? Well, OK, a new house. But that new car smell ... ahhhhhh.
And my cuz was right about it being a dude magnet. While she and I stood beside it, admiring it, a man came up saying, "Someone got a new pickup!" While he talked with us, several guys driving by slowed up and gawked at the pickup, with one, probably in his late 20s or early 30s looked at the car, smiled at me and gave be a "thumbs up"!!
Yeah, today was another fun day. Now what can I do tomorrow?????
These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................
Wow! New vehicle, new house..NICE! :)
ReplyDeleteJenn - YEAH!!!
ReplyDeleteJust in time to help me with my upcoming move. Your timing is awsome, Auntie. ;) Naw, really, I'm glad for you. You are now ready for country living.
ReplyDeletes3 - LOL1 Well, I can, at least, get into my driveway now! I'm gonna go to the house and try it out today, just to prove it to myself! And what the hey! Maybe I will be able to help you move. Let me know when. BTW, I hate that you're leaving NM, but I think you'll actually be closer to me after the move. Not a bad deal!
ReplyDeleteShe is georgous!!!! Does she have a name yet??? Can't wait to see her in person. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't named her yet. I will let you know. I've considered Blue Bell, because of her color and in honor of my State of birth.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'll take my own pictures soon, because that picture doesn't do the color justice. It is a gorgeous metallic blue, not quite electric, but certainly not your everyday ho-hum blue. It stands out really well without being gaudy. I'm soooo happy with it! I'm putting my driving things in her right now so I can go take her for another spin! Yippee-skippee!!!!!!!
Woo! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteHey, Burg, thanks!!!! I'm happy!
ReplyDeleteOooooh, very, very pretty. . .
ReplyDeleteand a man-magnet to boot.
I love big trucks!!! That's so cool!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would KILL for that truck.
ReplyDeleteRagged - That means I got it all, right?!
ReplyDeleteJenn - It doesn't feel like driving a big truck, because it handles so nicely. I drove a smaller one (Dakota) and it just didn't feel as comfortable. This one rocked when I got in!!
Pepper - Don't tell her where I love, OK???? ;-)
That truck is FABULOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteKMae - (grinning, big time!) Yeah, I know!!
ReplyDeleteThe new truck is gorgeous and I LOVE the color!!!
ReplyDeleteDaisy - Thank you! Believe it or not, it is even prettier in person!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the truck!! Yes, definitely a Dude Magnet!! lol
ReplyDeleteCheryl - It is certainly turning heads, but so far not one that I'm interested in. the fact that it is attracting so much attention is interesting because I live in "The Land Of Many Trucks." LOTS of people drive trucks here; I just got the right combination, I guess!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly! That's an amazing vehicle. Enjoy!!! It looks like it would be fun to drive. :)
ReplyDeleteCasey - It is fun to drive! I'm goin to my nephew's wedding in Texas, about 5 hours away, this weekend, and I'm looking forward to a little road trip to see how it does.
