These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

A Special Place for a Special Little One

I was working on putting the bathroom in order. I left a few minutes to do a load of laundry, and when I came back, here is what I found . . . . . .

China likes to be in protected places, under something, behind a piece of furniture, whatever. I guess she thought I made this space for her. She was just a happy little puppy!!!

I went ahead with other things for a while, and after about a half hour, she decided to move so I'm back to putting things in the cabinet. Life is good for us both.

  2. Oh, Jenn, you are in for a wonderful ride! Shih Tzus are wonderful pets. And they are good with children, unless, of course, they are mistreated. I'll be right over to visit!!

  3. She's adorable ! Are you sure that you don't want to make that her special place ?
Very happy for you both that life is good, Lynilu -- you deserve it ! You've created it...

  4. your dog looks like she is having a great time. some times we spend a lot of money on them but they seem to enjoy basic things. it is like when we buy a child an expensive present and they are more interested in the wrapper. have yourself a great day.

  7. Annie - Thank you. She really is a sweetheart.

Mrhaney - You're right on both counts ... kids and dogs keep us guessing!

Patti - The only problem with this is that she is now very hard of hearing, and sometimes I can't see her and she can't hear me, so I do one or two frantic searches each day!

Caroline - She misses you, too!

  9. Burg - She's my cutie-pie!

Pepper - Isn't it interesting how relative everything is? I look around at the chaos that is my house right now, and I think, how can this be "good"? But it is.

Ragged - Yes, we do, don't we? Once my house is in order, I'll have a hidey-hole of my own. Not under the bathroom sink, but a place I've planned to be my retreat.

  12. Well, Seven, she is very cute, but your sense of humor more than makes up for it!

Cheryl - China is a very happy little girl. You can almost hear her sing, "La, la, la, de, dah," as she strolls through life! She is a delightful companion!

  13. Well, she DOES look a little like a dustmop, maybe she thought that was where she belonged??

  14. Sandra - LOL! My dad used to say that if we just attached handles to their backs we'd have dust mops to clean the floor!

I peeked at all your blogs. But I must say, as wonderful as all the others were, this one was the most inspring to me.

I'll have to check in on you more often...hope you return the favor.

You're a beautiful lady and you look so happy. I love that in people. Thanks for letting me stop by. Enjoy your week.
