These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

  1. There was a lady in my city that was busted for having 76 cats and 14 dogs in her house last week. No kidding. Maybe that's a little overboard?
Unfortunately I think her pet hoarding was based on something much too prevalent; the abandonment of animals by irresponsible humans.

  3. Seven - Yes, that is certainly overboard! It really is too bad that such folks "need" to try to keep animals because others get stupid. The poor animals.

And ... YAY, you're back!! You've been missed.

  6. I've had many rescues and they are wonderful. I pray there will come a day when ever dog and cat has a forever home. This breaks my heart.

  7. Patti - I have actually never adopted a shelter animal, but I've rescued more strays than I can remember. I pray right along with you on that forever home. I can barely watch the animal rescue shows on Animal Planet because I just boo-hoo through it all. I don't understand how people can mistreat or neglect animals. Never will.

  8. What cute cartoons to make that serious message though, I love these!!

  9. Sandra - Aren't those cute? I recently subscribed to DailyINK, a comics and puzzles site. Where I live the newspaper has only 2 weekly publications and just 3 comics. I was missing some of my favorites, so considered subscribing to the Albuquerque newspaper, but it was rather expensive for just cartoons! Then I found the above. I'm loving having lots of comics again. "Mutts" is actually just a regular old cartoon strip, but last week they ran those on adopting, and I just had to put them here. I get one of my favorites, "For Better or For Worse," through Yahoo, and the rest are emailed to me each day. Love, it, love it.

  10. At one time I had 5 old cats and poor Surely Not. You should have seen what it took to get everyone to the vet, which was on the same day. My vet thought it was funny. One by one my furry friends would find a new home. I took them in, had them fixed, gave them some love, and found them a new home. I was person who couldn't say no to cats. Still have a hard time saying no but I think "litter box."

  11. Pepper - Those of us who love them just can't do otherwise, can we? I'm with you on the litter box. I love cats and had them almost my whole life, but because I want to travel, I'm avoiding it, and then the litter box thing is a back up to remind me, too!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
