These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Happy Father's Day!

Hey here is something fun for Father's day!!

If you're old enough to be a return reader of this blog, your dad (and maybe even you) are old enough to appreciate this spot on YouTube. Com'on ... share it with Dad!!

(Before you watch this, you might want to go the side bar and turn off the music by clicking on the button in the music frame.)

(If you have trouble viewing it here, the link is: Smothers Brothers)

There now, you get to be the kid with the best gift for Dad this Father's Day. Ignore your brother when he says, "Dad always liked you better." (If you're old enough, you'll get that line!!")

Happy Father's Day to all dads out there!!

  1. Lynilu, thanks for visiting my blog and for the nice comments. Sometimes it...takes a bit of bravery to voice some things I'm feeling, and I hesitate. So it's always nice to know the words connect with others out there.

  2. Shephard - For sure! I was *very* hesitant to begin blogging because of that very reason. But I've found that it is often cathartic to me and touches others. That is why I continue. I hope you do, as well, because it makes us all feel less lonely in the emotional morass. Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Thanks for the link. Made me giggle and think of my Dad. He was a pro with a yo-yo.

  6. Oh my goodness, I remember the Smothers Brothers (I think I spelled their name right). My mom use to HATE when their show came on...I thought they were funny.

    Very cute. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Ragged - It was just such a fun video, wasn't it?

Dawn - Well, in your mom's defense, they were very silly. But I loved them too!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
