These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

We Do Forget, Don't We?

Have you forgotten?

Find your inner child and have some fun! Summer is almost over!!!

  1. I try to regularly let my inner child out to play! Such fun!

  2. Summer is only half over in my little kid mind! Don't pop my balloon today ok??? heh

  3. Ummm...I can't wait for summer to be over. Ever since I finished school summer is just a time to be hot and miserable.

    Cute cartoon though. :)

  4. I hate to see summer go. I have always LOVED fall (still is my favorite season) but I hate what follows fall. I would LOVE to have more time with Man and more money so I could have some days to go to the shore or downtown Phila. or a weekend in Baltimore.

  5. Found her!!! :-) We actually need an additional room for our inner children :-).

My oldest daughter often tells me that I don't "act" 40. That I act much younger. I tell her that she's right. I've never been 40 should I know what I'm doing? I KNOW how to be a child...and I've still got it covered.

Can't believe summer is almost over. THAT means that Jayla and I will be having ice cream for lunch tomorrow...her last full day at home with mommy before BIG SCHOOL starts on Monday.

  6. My kids go back to school in two weeks. There's a very small part of me that's looking forward to it so I can get back into some sort of routine. But the much bigger part of me is so sad. We haven't gotten to play this summer like we always have in the past. And they're growing up so fast I feel like I only have a very few summers left.

I don't ever remember catching butterflies with the kids, but we used to ditch the dinner dishes to go catch fireflies! Now that's some kind of fun!!

  7. Patti - Good for you!

    Traci - Oops!!! Sorry!!

Caroline - I've enjoyed this summer like I've not enjoyed a summer in many, many, long, long years.

Daisy - I honestly love all seasons. I struggled with the heat/humidity in KC, but this summer has been great. And I don't mind winter here because the elements that cause angst don't last very long. The sun shines every day (or at least it only skips a day occasionally), unlike KC where it could be dreary for 2 weeks. Snow melts in a couple days. Nothing to dislike here.

Dawn - Good!! I like your explanation for your "inner childishness"!!!! Can I come for ice cream lunch????

Jenster - Oh, yes, enjoy them while you can. I still have to pinch myself sometimes to believe that mine are over 35 now. Luckily, my girl still has her inner child close by. Sometimes I see it in my son, but he is too grown up to let the child out often.

    Oh, fireflies are fun, too!!

  8. Ooooh, right now it's as if we are smack dab in the middle of summer. 100 degree plus. Ugh. My inner child wants popsicles.

  9. Ragged - I keep popcicles in the freezer all the time, the kind in the plastic tube. What a lifesaver on hot days or after working up a sweat! Tell me I don't have an outed inner child!!!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
