These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

I'm So Embarrassed

Well, that was embarrassing. I wish I knew who sent me the video that had the icky sight overlaid on it. I'll be far more careful from now on.

I spent most of yesterday putting summer clothes away and getting winter ones out. I still have to take some with me on my trip, because I'll be in Florida at the end of it, but the ones I plan to take are readily available. I'll begin packing about Friday, I think, as I will probably leave next Monday. Still have some planning on the itinerary which I'll do today.

Yesterday afternoon the dogs asked to go out. I figured they wouldn't be long as it was cold, just 42 degrees with a little breeze. I went about my business, waiting for them to bark to come in. I realized that it had been a while, probably ten minutes or so, and I suddenly panicked ... what if Ali found a way out of the fenced yard and took China with him????

Just before I opened the door, I saw them at the bottom of the steps, stretched out and soaking up the sun!! I asked if they wanted to come in. China looked up at me but didn't move; Ali just didn't move! I got the camera, opened the door and asked again. Here China is half-looking at me as if to say, "Are you nuts?" Still no movement!

I asked again, and this time Ali did look at me, but he was disinterested in moving.

I think about ten minutes later, they decided to come in the house. I suppose they felt their suntans were deep enough!!! LOL!

And when I downloaded those photos, I forgot that there was a picture of the Fab Four on the camera!!

Now, I didn't say which Fab Four, did I? This is the Fab Farmington Four!! LOL!!

Now ....

Finally ....

There are about 60-to 200- million spaces along our city streets where trees could be planted. This translates to the potential to absorb 33 million more tons of CO2 every year, and saving $4 billion in energy costs.
I was talking with someone recently about the insanity of overuse of lights in cities. You really appreciate the night beauty when you get away from the blinding lights.
