These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

It's So Windy . . . . .

. . . . . the wind ripped my flag off the house!! The flag, the pole, the pole holder, AND the screws that hold it in place, all went flying!! The "official" word is that it is 26 mph. I think NOT!!!

Oh, yeah. I forgot. I live on a mountain. Duh.

But still, that's a helleva wind to pull out the screws!!!

Look, it's about to take my hair right out of my head!

And it's uprooting trees!!

And look at this ... This is where the mountain that I live on used to be!!

Really!! Would I BS you guys???

  10. OK, OK, OK!!!! Yes, part of that was just fluff! But my mountain is still here. The trees didn't fall over. My hair is still on my head.

But the flag/flagpole/holder/screws part was real. It actually broke part of the flagpole, not surprising with it's age.

sighhh. You guys just expect to much reality to be fun!!

  11. I hope your house is snug and warm while the wind howls about, Lynilu.

Uprooting trees scares me -that is waaaaaay more than 26 m.p.h.

Hmmmm, why does this sound like 'The Wizard of Oz' with things flying about ?
But I think you are Glinda the Good - please confirm this with picture of you in pink gold-spangled dress...:)

  12. Your'e funny.

We are definitely rocking and rolling in our little house. This is the worse that it has been. I have been eating tums but it isn't helping the motion sickness.

Hang on to your hat and pray you are not blown back to Missouri.

  13. Annie - I'm just so bad! No, the only real thing was the wind, which I think really was more than 26mph, and the flagpole incident! I'm looking for a picture of me in a pink gold-spangled dress to put up here. Hold on!!!

Pepper - :)(: It has been windy for a week or more, and of course, on the side of the mountain, it always seems worse whether it is or not. Uh, trust me, my roots are wa-a-a-a-a-ay down in NM soil, and you won't find me rolling in MO direction except for visits!!!

I hope your motion sickness gets better. I know how hard it is to travel with that. *b-b-bURP*

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
