These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

  1. Awwww. You know, yours are the only 'funnies' I've read in years. My Grandpa use to call them "funnies", what do they call them now?

  2. ROFL!! I think dogs just do this "instinctively"...it must be a challenge!!

  3. Kathi - Well, I used to, and usually still do, call them the "funnies," too. Or the "comics." the newspaper here doesn't carry good comics, so I subscribe to an on line service. I can't live without my funnies!!!

Sherry - I think you're right! And my guys are so small that 3-4 inches and their tummies are dragging in it, but they still tromp right into the drifts until they have to hold their heads almost straight up to breathe!! Sillies!

  4. dogs are like children that gravitate to puddles...they are there, therefore they must be conquered!!

  5. Cute! My dog is a chihuahua and if he sees one snowflake, he won't go out. If we try, he'll just stand by the back door shivering and looking pathetic until we let him back in again. (And that's even if he's wearing a coat!) We tried boots, but he showed his contempt for those by eating one of them, LOL!
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!

  6. Sherry - I think you're right about that ... "just because"!!!

  7. Mom2fur - I understand that! Before I got the Shih Tzus I had Chihuahuas. Bless their hearts, we got them sweaters and coats, but it doesn't seem to make any difference, does it?! I didn't try boots! LOL! I don't blame your guy for chewing them up!! I wish I could get my dogs to wear boots ... their furry little paws pick up every bit of snow, mud, everything else. Such a mess!

Thanks for visiting, and good greetings back to you!

  9. Patti, you're probably right, especially with Ali. That dog will do things the hardest way possible at time, and I think it is because he gets bored!! :D

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
