I'm going to brush my teeth, load the car and make the rubber hit the road! We are going H....O....M....E !!! I feel like Dorothy ... There's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home! I'd click the heels of my ruby slippers, but that's hard to do while driving.
And while I'm driving over the next 8 hours, here is something to keep you busy. Now, work on this, and I'm going to expect to hear that you can do this at the end of the day. Get busy!!
How smart is Your Right Foot ?
Just try this. It is from an orthopedic surgeon............ This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's preprogrammed in your brain!
1. While sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right Hand. Your foot will change direction.
I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you've not already done so. Send it to your buddies to frustrate them too.
Good for you Lynilu, saying almost home makes the spirit soar especially when you visualize your own shower and own bed. I did post yesterday and when I read the preview I saw a typo and clicked to correct it and "poof" the whole thing was gone, and I didnt know how to find it, forgetting that I had to click edit. My comments in a nutshell were....hate those major roads under construction...hate those motels that seem to rent "by-the-hour" and dislike Danielle Steele books. Names are changed, locale is different and plots are all similar, but the one I did like was Thurston House. I enjoy Nicholas Sparks and have begun reading Jodi Picoult...she is pretty good. I have enjoyed your great travelogue along with the photos when you were able to take them. How about a trip north of the border? Something I was curious about...what the heck is immigration doing in the middle of Texas, or did I misunderstand that comment? Hope the remainder of your trip was uneventful, and I bet the KIDS will be glad its over.

Ruth - I haven't read anything by Jodi Picoult, but I'll give it a try. I'm actually thinking about a trip to the New England states in the next couple years, and I've wanted to see Canada too, either then or on a separate trip. What part of Canada are you in?
