These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Well, I'll be thinking about this one. Just tonight I was telling my coworker about 2 huge regrets which are affecting me to this day. He responded by urging me to stop regretting. (You know, the usual, "We have to look forward, not backwards. No point in living in the past.")
Thoreau, on the other hand, implies that regret may bring the gift of change, perhaps. I think I'll go with Thoreau.
Hmmmm. Well, I think a person can hang on to regrets and let themselves "get stuck." However, if we face the regrets and understand how they have influenced our lives, I think it frees us to move on with an expanded knowledge. To me that is the gift of change.
If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
