These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

A fabulous quote .....

"To regret deeply is to live afresh."
-- Henry David Thoreau

Isn't that something to think about?! Wow!

  1. Well, I'll be thinking about this one. Just tonight I was telling my coworker about 2 huge regrets which are affecting me to this day. He responded by urging me to stop regretting. (You know, the usual, "We have to look forward, not backwards. No point in living in the past.")

Thoreau, on the other hand, implies that regret may bring the gift of change, perhaps. I think I'll go with Thoreau.

  2. Hmmmm. Well, I think a person can hang on to regrets and let themselves "get stuck." However, if we face the regrets and understand how they have influenced our lives, I think it frees us to move on with an expanded knowledge. To me that is the gift of change.

    Yes, go with Thoreau.

  3. It is...

    I live by the maxim:

    "Well-behaved women seldom make history".

    Go figure.

  4. Patti, I like your quote, too! I can't remember who said that, but it is good to live by!! ;D

  5. Very deep. I tend to be very blase' about things so this one hurts my feet a little. lol

  6. Jen, nah, not you! You have feelings of steel, don't you?? LOL!!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
