These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

From My Coolest Email of the Day

This is just too cool for words! Daisy sent this to me and I have to share it. Watch for the "peace symbol" in this and listen to what the man says at that time ... and I echo in my own words .... can't we all just get along?

Here is the explanation: This is an amazing video of one of the homeless in Santa Barbara and his pets. They work State Street every week for donations. The animals are pretty well fed and are mellow. They are a family. The man who owns them rigged a harness up for his cat so she wouldn't have to walk so much (like the dog and himself). At some juncture the rat came along, and so no one wanted to eat anyone else, the rat started riding with the cat and often, on the cat. The dog will stand all day and let you talk to him and admire him for a few chin scratches. The mayor of Santa Barbara filmed this clip and sent it out as a Christmas card.

Any difference can be overcome. Why don't we all try?

Thanks, Daisy!

  1. Oh my gosh....that is great. I loved the part where the cat is licking the rat. They are just one big happy family. So neat. Oh, I also loved the part where the guy says, "don't knock off the flea". Thanks for sharing.

  5. I agree, Sherry. Why do we complicate things so?

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
