These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Wee Progress

Seen this morning:
  1. China is allowing more cuddling, as long at The Boy doesn't try to be on top (Sometimes a little chin rest is OK, but don't, repeat, d.o.n.'.t use me as a foot stool or elbow rest!!!)
  2. The New Kid is allowing me to pet him and pick him up without freaking ... or dribbling. So far. The day is young.
  3. I took him out to pee this morning, which he did, AND he came back up the steps a.l.o.n.e!! (He has been going under the steps and staying there till I go get him.) Woo Hooo!!
  4. I'm getting puppy kisses!! Until now, he has shown no inclination to give puppy kisses, but a few minutes ago, I was petting his chin and ears, and he began licking the palm of my hand , tentatively, but sweet little kisses!! Eeeee Hawwwww!
I think we'll make it. Things always look better in the daytime, don't they?

  1. It's always better in the daylight (take that one any way you like -- and remember I haven't had my coffee yet!!)...you are making progress and slow and sweet is the way to go. Seems to me like your new family member is feeling safe and ready to take those tentative steps...wonderful!!! (and I don't blame China for not wanting to be a foot stool!! hee!!).

  2. Sherry, Heh, heh! I think I like you without the coffee!! giggle! I know taking it slow is important. Did I mention I'm impatient? Things will come around in time. Is it time yet??? :D And no, I wouldn't want to be a foot stool, either. Girl has her standards!!

  3. Very good progress. Take it easy take it slow... That is a song from someone I think.

Baby steps first and give the lil doggie the time he needs.

  4. Man, I surely hope so. It is hard to be as patient as he needs me to be. We'll make it!

  5. I don't know the exact artist but from what I remember it is a country song and sung by a man with a deep voice. Sounds like Trace Atkins or the like... Who knows I am only a man and sometimes can be wrong...

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
