These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

  2. The title certainly had me wondering, but as soon as it started I loved the tongue in cheek attitude. Guess I won't vote Republican, after all. LOL

  4. I registered Republican at the age of 18 because my dad was and I didn't know the difference. I haven't voted Republican in eons.

  5. MJ, I'm so old ....

    How old are you, Lynilu?

.... that I couldn't register to vote until I was 21, the legal age for voting in the dark ages! And I registered Rep because my lst husband was one. Later I registered as undeclared, mostly because I've always voted a "split-ticket." But I find myself voting more and more (and pretty much all) Democrat in recent years. And in NM, you must declare a party affiliation in order to vote in primaries, so I am now a Dem. And Dem proud of it!!!!

  6. I don't think I can vote a muslim into the white house. Especailly one that is currently running. Where is his track record? Where is his experience? Just look at the voting record what major bills has he sponsored? I am a dem and have always voted that way until this up coming election. Sorry to rant. :(

  7. Man,you're apparently doing what you should .... look at the issues, read and research, then vote your conscience. That is what we all should do, prepare ourselves for informed voting, not emotional voting.

I want to point out one thing. Have you read much about the muslin religion? It is different than most people think. It has been misused in the name of the faith, but look at what the Christians did during the Crusades and the inquisitions of the Americas, bloody genocide. And in 1959-1960, people feared that John Kennedy would take orders from the Vatican in his presidency.

And bottom line is .... he is not muslim. He was educated as a very young child at BOTH muslim and catholic schools. He has followed christian worship all his life since about 8-10. And if you read history *outside that which is in high school history books* even that isn't a "done deal" good thing.

    I'm glad you're a thinking man. :)

  8. I'm glad you liked the movie. If you've been visiting my blog for a while, you know that I am not an Obama fan, but I feel like we have to suck it up and vote for him. He might be inexperienced and not have any concrete ideas, but the concrete ideas and experience that McCain has scares me just a little bit.

This is the first time ever that I am voting for a party, and not a person, which is why I liked the video. I just wish we could have had an election where at least one candidate inspired me rather than forced me to choose the one I disliked the least.

I took my boot off. You take orders well :)

  9. Laura, this election is a difficult one for me. I have struggled (waffled, if you wish) throughout the primaries, as no single candidate seemed 100%. There are things that I like and dislike both about Mr. O, but I strongly prefer him over Mr. M., as I fear a continuation of the last 8 years more than any other concern.

Thanks for removing your boot! I feel much safer now! ;D

  12. Bush and McCain scare me . . .I am voting for O. because we need some different direction--I don't think it can get much worse.

    Nice, thought provoking video!
