Another read.
But first, I have a question. Are you reading these things?
Wait, I have two questions. Are you passing them along?
Alright a third one .... Are you actively doing anything to share your views with others?
If you said "no" to any of these, then ask yourself, "Why?"
Now, read this. (NOTE: When you get to the first page, you may have to click on a link in the upper right corner that says "Enter Salon.") or cut and paste this link: http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2008/09/11/zombie_feminism/
These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................
Yes, I am sharing my views. I don't tend to be a forwarder of things . . .
ReplyDeleteI get very intimidated though when I try and make point sometimes . . .I need to work on that. I know what I DON'T want, but I couldn't confidently say I want this person for this reason. I just know in general . . .I am babbling and I should be working . . .
oh, and I am reading . . though I couldn't get into the link you sent on this post.
ReplyDeleteBeans, you probably are timid because of your uncertainty. The only "cure" for that is information, information, information.
ReplyDeleteYou have to click on a link in the upper right corner that says "Enter Salon" and you'll be there.
I am reading and I'm having interesting conversations and learning new things all the time. I just don't do it on my blog. But I'm really glad you are!
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you what I think is really sad - and this has been said over and over. Is that some people will vote for Obama because he's black and some people will vote for McCain because he has a woman on the ballot. How insulting.
yes.
ReplyDeleteyes.
yes.
and jenster - insulting is right, because their vote weights just the same as mine (and yours - the one's trying to be educated and informed)! sickening.
Yes I am nagging the hell out of my siblings/nieces to vote even going so far as organizing a caravan to the fire house!
ReplyDeleteJen, this kind of information broadcast is my thing. I know it isn't for everyone. And I know that everyone doesn't have my point of view, as well. That is OK, as long as everyone reads, researches, listens, talks. (Are you getting tired of hearing me say that?)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more Obama's strength isn't in his skin, and McCain isn't better because he picked a woman as a running mate. There are good reasons (and bad ones, too) behind any running partnership, and I hope people will vote the political issues, not the fluff stuff. You are absolutely right on .... that is insulting to everyone.
And Cameo, you hit it, too. I don't know which is more enraging .... people who vote by the fluff stuff or people who totally squander it all by not voting.
MQ, good for you!!! a caravan is a terrific idea!!! Whatever it takes to get 'em out there!! You go!!!
I am reading not sharing so much cause i am a computer idiot and dont know how to link lol. I have respect for Sarah Palin because she is in a mans world. That being said I am not voting for her just because she is a woman. I dont agree with her nor her running mate. Do we need a woman in the White House most definetly but is it her or Hillary no its not.
ReplyDeleteRedfrog, all I can ask that you do what you can do. Pass on information to as many as you can as fast as you can.
ReplyDeleteEVERYONE.....
Remember that we have only SIX WEEKS to get everyone to register, to vote, to know the issues. The effort needs us all!!!
