These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

A Pleasant Little Surprise

I was watering plants yesterday and I found this......

A sunflower-type plant in my potted plants.

I'm not surprised. The birds scattered sunflower seeds everywhere!

While I was there, I noticed the spider (or airplane) plants are laden with blooms.

So I got a few of them, too.

That's all! Have a good day!

Life is beautiful!!!!

  1. I'm so glad that you visited my blog. I have seen your name in so many of the comment sections in the blogs I visit, and it was nice to finally connect. I never knew about your Social Work background, I'm sure we have a lot in common.

I love the photos that your took. I wish the weather was still warm enough for flowers here. Although, I'm very happy with the beauty of the leaves and the vibrant colors. It is what comes next I dread.

What a great reminder, life really is beautiful. I love that and needed to hear that today.

  2. Ah, Cheryl, welcome! Yes, when I read your blog I was surprised, too!

Thank you on the photos. The plants, however, are inside my house now. They were on the deck during the summer, and that's where the sunflower (or whatever it is) was picked up. I live in the mountains, at 7200 feet, and while nights aren't freezing yet, it is very close to that. My days are mild, 50s and 60s right now, and it is just lovely here. I live high enough there is little foliage that turns the wonderful colors of fall, but I'm close enough to take a 10 minute drive and enjoy it. The best of the best, in my world!

Hope to see you back again!

  3. I miss the flowers. The leaves are starting to go away also and the rain is moving in. Great pics as usual

  4. Red, I'm always a little sad to see the green and blooms go, yet the fall is so refreshing.

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
