These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Today in History

On this day in history...

  • 1847: Jane Eyre is published

  • 1866: The Reno brothers carry out the first train robbery in U.S. history

  • 1926: Babe Ruth sets a World Series record

  • 1961: Kennedy urges Americans to build bomb shelters

  • 1973: Yom Kippur War begins

  • 1989: Bette Davis dies

  • 1995: Boeing machinists strike

Now .... if you don't know what any of these mean, google it and learn something!

  1. Very cool, thanks for posting this. You need to do a post once a week (maybe Thursdays) where you do "This day in History". I always learn so much when I read your blog. :) Hope you are having a good day and your week is better then last week.
