These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Important for All Women

The campaign and election is over. We are safe now, right?

Wrong!!!

There are still issues related to the current administration that are bouncing, floating, threatening or future.

Please go read this. Our opinions on abortion may differ from one another, but this is an important issue that will effect all women in their health care. I think we can agree that birth control should not be denied to women.

The Bush administration promised not to issue any new regulations after November 1. But now it's poised to implement a rule that could allow individual health care providers to redefine abortion to include the most common forms of birth control — and then refuse to provide these basic services. A woman's ability to manage her own health care is at risk of being compromised by politics and ideology. We need you to speak out now, before the administration implements this rule.

Are you surprised that is administration plans to not keep that promise?

And BTW, that's not the only threat. Check this story. This man is dangerous.

  1. Thanks for this great information and links. It is frightening and makes me so angry. We need to stay on top of these crucial issues. I always have such hope that people in power will keep their promises....maybe someday.

  2. Cheryl, you're welcome. It is awfully easy to roll back and think things are going to be alright, but we must always remember that it takes *us* to keep the DCers focused in our best interest.

  3. Disgusting, isn't it. He's also pushed through 53 rule changes regarding the environment and endangered species. If the law changes are enacted within 60 days, Obama can't just reverse them, he has to start from square one to get them undone.
