These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Thoughtless Thursday

I'm still in bed. Huh? Because I wanna, that's why! I just feel lazy this morning. So I'm doing some blog reading and dog watching.

The dogs are .... uh .... highly entertaining this morning. They have been on quite a roll, and frankly, I probably can't stay in bed much longer or I won't have a house left.

I've been doing some laundry while lazing around. At the foot of the bed is a stack of four or five t-shirts and as many pairs of socks. I usually fold things in stacks until I'm done, then put everything away at one time. Twice today Sammy has hopped up on the cedar chest at the foot of the bed, snagged a t-shirt and tried to trot out of the room with it trailing behind him. Then he tried to sneak out with something red in his mouth. My Chiefs baseball hat. Next Jazmyn was chewing on something at the foot of the bed, and when I tried to find out what it was, she swallowed. I found the little button from the top of the Chiefs hat is missing. I've adjusted my position and the angle of the screen of the laptop so I can see what's going on down there!

In between these things, they have been playing and snoozing. At one time Sammy was between Jazi and Maxey with both of them giving him a bath, licking his ears, his muzzle, his neck. I swear, I believe his eyes were rolled back in his head! A moment later the three of them were rolling around in a furry mass of gentle growls. Then all three ran out the back door and chased each other around the back yard while Joey sat at the edge of the bed, watching them through the window. He couldn't stand it long, however, and he tore outside and joined in the wild parade!

When they came inside, they charged like the cavalry onto the bed, and both Sam and Max were on top of the computer. Yeah, I had to erase that. It was basically profanity, and I didn't want to shock anyone out there! LOL! Life is not, NOT boring at my house!

I need to power wash my deck and the ramp so I can winterize them with a sealer. I think it will be too cold today. It is going to be 50°, and while that temperature is good for me, the addition of water to the chore is pushing it over the top for me. Getting wet + 50° = NO!!!! At least it does in my book. I should be able to get it done over the weekend when temps are back in the 60s again. I can't delay long, however. I've already put it off too long.

So, what am I going to do today since my plan for power washing is shot down? I have no idea. Guess I should get up and figure it out, though. I don't dare stay in bed! I need to get busy, get some juices flowing, keep my butt from sending roots down to keep me attached here permanently!

So .... later!!

PS - I will get a Thought for Thursday out in a while. I still can't believe I put the wrong date on that the other day! Silly me!

  2. Staying in bed is a great thing, doing it once in a while, I'm sure won't put down roots. I could probably stay in bed all day and watch the kids.

  4. Red, I like snow, but I'll pass on yours; I know it will last longer than I like and probably be dirty before it is all gone. But *you* enjoy it, OK? :D

MJ, Oh, don't tell me that! It could become a habit. (Lawdy, is that an old work ethic from my parents????) The thing is, I watch The Kids all day long, everywhere! Yep, I have it good!

MQ, I'm sure that is something beyond your comprehension! LOL!! I have to keep reminding myself that the chewing is getting better/less often. Sigh. I just hope they get over it before they chew a hole in the house!!!

  5. Good for you for staying in bed. I love lazy mornings in bed. You have got to get on tape what your babies do. You need to just start carrying your camera around your neck so you can always be prepared to take pictures and/or video.

  6. Caroline, well, hmmm, sleeping with the camera around my neck doesn't sound good. LOL! I've often taken it to the bedroom with me at night, but of course, the next morning nothing happens! They are cagey, those kids!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
