Meet The Birds

I took pictures of the new winged kids tonight. I think they may both be males because of the song. Only the males "sing," according to the information I've read.




Goldie is on the right. The one on the left is, for now, Brownie. I can't decide for sure on his name.












And as if they knew my plan, the hopped around to show me their backs so you can see their colors! The flash actually washed out the color of Brownie's spot. It is a rich, chocolate brown.





These two little guys have the absolutely sweetest song I can imagine. It is very soft, and I would almost call it "gentle." When I get up in the morning and open the blinds, I uncover their cage, and the begin singing within a couple minutes. They don't sing continuously through the day, but off and on, and every time I hear their song or their happy little whistles, it really warms my heart. They are wonderful additions to my home. :)
