These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Living Alone

One of the down sides to living alone is that there is not another person to man the camera at special times. Times like a few minutes ago when I had Joey beside me on the couch, Jazi in my lap, and Sammy was wedged into a tiny space between me and the arm of the couch, with Maxey sitting on the floor looking at us as if to say, "Crazy! No way am I coming up into that!"

Or at times, like this morning when all four were wiggling, squirming all over me as I tried to wake up this morning.

Or when I wake in the morning with two dogs on each side of me, snuggling in and pinning me under the covers in a most loving way.

Or when one of them snuggling against my neck and looking up at me with adoration.

Yeah, I wish I had someone to help me preserve these moments for later.

  1. And I wish you had the photos so we could see them!!

  2. I wish I had the photos so *I* could see them!!!

  3. Awww...what a happy family!!

  4. awwwww i am that way with the kittens first thing in the morning got two beside me and two on top of me and a older cat wondering how he lost his spot.

  5. You are so lucky that your dogs will cuddle with you. I would love it if Sophie would sleep with me at night. The cats though do enjoying sleeping right next to me. Usually every morning I wake up with Ben right next to me.

I have a feeling that very soon there will be someone there to share these moments with.

  6. (M)ary, yep!! :)

Red, whatever 4-leggers are around, right? :D

Caroline, look at it this way .... my dogs are close to the size of your cats. Sophie might be just a bit overwhelming if she wallowed on your stomach and chest the way Sam does to me! Now, if she would snuggle next to your back and keep you warm, wouldn't that be perfect?

    Someone? Ya think? ;D

  7. Cowboy and I have two camera and I don't seem to get any pictures taken of me. Sadie used to sleep with me and now Cowboy took her place. But I loved her sleeping with me.

  8. MJ, men are like that, about cameras, and about sharing the bed!! LOL!

  9. I know what you mean, i'm usually the photographer in my house so i'm rarely "in" pics.

  10. MQ, I know what you mean. When my hub was alive there were precious few, but now? ZIP!

If you have something to say about it, just stick out your thumb, and I'll slow down so you can hop aboard! But hang on, 'cause I'm movin' on down the road!!! No time to waste!!!
