These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

Living Alone

One of the down sides to living alone is that there is not another person to man the camera at special times. Times like a few minutes ago when I had Joey beside me on the couch, Jazi in my lap, and Sammy was wedged into a tiny space between me and the arm of the couch, with Maxey sitting on the floor looking at us as if to say, "Crazy! No way am I coming up into that!"

Or at times, like this morning when all four were wiggling, squirming all over me as I tried to wake up this morning.

Or when I wake in the morning with two dogs on each side of me, snuggling in and pinning me under the covers in a most loving way.

Or when one of them snuggling against my neck and looking up at me with adoration.

Yeah, I wish I had someone to help me preserve these moments for later.

  5. You are so lucky that your dogs will cuddle with you. I would love it if Sophie would sleep with me at night. The cats though do enjoying sleeping right next to me. Usually every morning I wake up with Ben right next to me.

I have a feeling that very soon there will be someone there to share these moments with.

  6. (M)ary, yep!! :)

Red, whatever 4-leggers are around, right? :D

Caroline, look at it this way .... my dogs are close to the size of your cats. Sophie might be just a bit overwhelming if she wallowed on your stomach and chest the way Sam does to me! Now, if she would snuggle next to your back and keep you warm, wouldn't that be perfect?

    Someone? Ya think? ;D
