“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind
braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such
thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.”
John Ruskin, (1819-1900), art critic, sage writer, and social
critic, wrote essays on art and architecture that were
extremely influential in the Victorian and Edwardian eras
These are random musings of my life journey, the people, animals, places, and events which have woven, and continue to weave, a tapestry that is me. We all know there is no real destination, only the ongoing experiences which blend together, creating the trail. Each step gives a glimpse of what is to come, without allowing me to see the end result. It is exciting. I have a home base that is mine, that gives me a place to rest. This is it. This is where my heart is, no matter where I journey...................

You know, I totally agree. It is colder than a witches titty in a brass bra here in Car-o-lina but it invigorates me, wakes up the spirit, refreshes me!
ReplyDelete*and would probably earn me a solid SMACK from those poor souls in the NE, Mid-West, etc!*
Patti, LOL! Yeah, you earned that one! But then they shouldn't hate us because we are beautiful, er, I mean, because we live in temperate climates! Well, wasn't that embarrassing? :D
ReplyDeletePretty nippy here too.....right now its minus 26 (minus 15 Farenheit) and last night went down to -31. Awww its so invigorating when you step out to grab the newspaper LOL

Oh my goodness Lyn I never miss a day reading your blog...sometimes more than once, but most times I cannot comment. I'm overwhelmed with your knowledge of worldly things and your ability to express yourself so eloquently.
ReplyDeleteI'm just happy being able to read it, and to comment if I want to.
Thank you for allowing me in to your blog.

ReplyDeleteRuth, Good! Actually you are one of those who reads and comments regularly. "Regularly" meaning often enough that I know you're out there. And I'm glad you do!
